We have worked closely with ABB and have now modified our controllers so that they override the MPPT tracking in solar inverters. Our unique controllers store the wind turbine power curve and manage the inverter. Using this specially designed system we can continue to supply controllers and ABB wind inverters for small wind and micro-hydro systems.
Here at Voltsys, we offer a wide range of ABB wind inverters. Our products include but aren’t limited to ABB UNO DM Inverters, ABB Trio Inverter, ABB PVS 100/120Kw Inverters, ABB Legacy Wind Inverters. ABB has discontinued its range of wind inverters, which is why we now use solar versions of their Trio and UNO DM inverters for wind and hydro applications.
We still have some stock of the legacy UNO 2.0kw and 2.5kw wind inverters which use high-frequency isolation to provide the efficiency of transformerless inverters while providing galvanic isolation. This particular inverter achieves up to 96% efficiency across a range of input voltages from 90V DC to 470V DC making it ideal for smaller wind turbines.
