In recent times, mainstream manufacturers have ceased production of wind inverters, most notably SMA Windy Boy, Ginlong, Power One, Aurora and ABB. Here at Voltsys, we have previously worked closely with ABB enabling us to modify our controllers so they override the MPPT tracking in solar inverters. Our controller can then store the wind turbine power curve and manage the inverter. Thanks to this system we can continue to supply controllers and inverters for small wind and micro-hydro systems.
Our ABB wind power solutions include four different inverters: ABB UNO DM Inverters, ABB Trio Inverters 5.8kw to 27kw, ABB Trio 50/60kw Inverters and also ABB Legacy Wind Inverters. These inverters can be used for wind and hydro applications with a variety of systems and depending on the system you have you would need different ABB wind power solutions. For example, the ABB UNO DM range of inverters can be used with Voltsys Power Curve Control System for smaller single phase grid connection up to 6kw. This new design is incredibly easy to install and fast to commission. The inverter has a built-in User Interface which provides access to advanced inverter configuration settings, dynamic feed-in control and data logging from any WLAN enabled devices whether it is a smartphone, tablet or computer.
